Shadow Yoga Basics: Stepping into Strength
Limited Capacity filling up

In this workshop, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of shadow yoga.  Shadow Yoga, founded by Shandor Remete, is a Hatha Yoga system that utilizes rhythmic breathing, bandhas (energetic locks) and the system of marma (vital junctions) to free the peripheral body of its energetic obstructions and to ignite our inner fire for healing and meditation. Shadow Yoga consists of circular and spiraling movements, warrior stances, and sun salutation forms that prepare students to safely and effectively practice the more advanced limbs of Hatha Yoga.

The Yoga Lab: NEW Alignment Fundamentals
Limited Capacity seats available

Given the uniqueness of each of our bodies, there are no absolutes in yoga posture alignment. Poses don’t have alignment, bodies have alignment! However, in group classes, we explore postures together that have a defined aesthetic and expression. In this Yoga Lab, we’ll explore some blueprint poses in each family of postures to better understand how to find your informed yet unique expression through the Integrated Vinyasa™ alignment principles of balancing polar key actions, observing tension and load on our tissues, and understanding the impact of our nervous system on our ability to experience change in our bodies. Includes lecture and “workshopping” of asanas. Great for both students and for teachers who want to learn how to invite students to explore their own alignment.
