In this fun, refreshing, dynamic, and introductory SUP Yoga Workshop you'll be transported to a fluid and easeful plane of practice and being to explore, break down, and learn all of the basics and beauty of yoga on the water. We will enjoy floating through our nature-inspired practice in a nourishing and sustainable manner. We'll challenge ourselves to shift our perspective as we take our yoga practice from the mat and land to the water and flow with grace, mindfulness, and strength.

GENERAL SUP YOGA INFO
Whether you are new to yoga or an advanced yoga practitioner, SUP Yoga provides an inclusive, rejuvenating, and fun new spin on the traditional yoga practice! It allows us to combine the physicality of Stand Up Paddle boarding and the beauty and elements of nature and floating on the water with the peace, presence, playfulness, and meditative aspects of our yoga practice. SUP Yoga provides a unique opportunity to explore our asana, pranayama, and meditation practices, while building new confidence and community on the water.

We‘re able to experience a total communion and connection with nature in a safe, accessible, relaxing, and meditative environment. It allows us to become more in tune with our yoga practice, our breath, and our sense of balance on the board, and in each asana. The confidence and courage we develop on the water and in our practice translates far beyond the paddleboard and mat and can positively affect our lives and our community in so many powerful ways. Let the water be your yoga mat and leave feeling confident, refreshed, and empowered!

Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga fuses the timeless practice of yoga with an exciting water sport and adds a challenge away from our mats that most of us take for granted. Students first learn the basics of SUP by becoming familiar with mounting the board, paddle stroke and core stabilization. Once anchored, class begins with pranayama and meditation to integrate the pranic movement of the water element into the practice, followed by low center of gravity poses and continuing further into a vinyasa practice from there. *This class is open all levels of practice and SUP experience. **For those interested, session will end with photos of you in your favorite poses on the board so you have a memory to take home with you.

***Following practice Mary Susan will be taking photos for anyone who would like to capture their SUP Yoga adventure on the water!
